  • Unearth a traditional and tranquil side of Mallorca - perhaps one of the best kept secrets of the Balearic Islands!
  • Charming accommodation including a converted monastery in Lluc
  •  Amazing variety of flora and fauna
  • Coastal panoramas and walks up into the dramatic Tramuntana Mountains
  • Walk through ancient forests and spot birds of prey including falcons, osprey and vultures
Behind Mallorca's (also known as Majorca) facade lies a tranquil and timeless landscape. Rising abruptly out of the island's interior are the craggy outcrops of the Tramuntana Mountains, over which birds of prey can often be seen soaring on the breeze.

On this 7-night guided walking trip on Mallorca, we'll follow a network of established trails and trek to some of the highest peaks, enjoying spectacular vistas to the Mediterranean. Elsewhere, we discover picturesque hamlets complete with medieval churches and pass terraced hillsides adorned with sun-kissed citrus trees. In contrast, our coastal walks will reveal sleepy fishing marinas, secret coves and pebble bays.

You will see plenty of color too; the aquamarine sea contrasts with the limestone rocks and pine-clad mountains. The terracotta colored stone houses of the villages combined with the orange and lemon groves all brighten the landscape. In springtime you will also be treated to the pretty pink almond blossom.

A strong Mediterranean influence pervades the Mallorcan menu: olive oil, herbs, garlic and peppers, and the dishes are simple yet hearty. Enjoy a variety of fish and meat dishes, as well as local vegetarian dishes such as tumbet, a Mallorcan version of ratatouille with potatoes, aubergines and peppers. Lunches will be eaten as picnics during your walks, and will include plenty of locally-grown foods: bread, tomatoes, peppers, olives and olive oil, Mallorcan cheeses, sausages, fruits, chocolate and biscuits.
