More choices, lower prices and a great value!

Azores

Thanks to lower oil prices, a stronger dollar and the continued growth of international travel, we believe there’s never been a better time to travel. We’re pleased to pass on to our loyal customers a new, more competitive price structure offering the same great trips, at a substantial savings!

We are also delighted to offer more options and choices and a greater selection of destinations, including 6 brand new guided walking tours for 2015!

Undiscovered French RivieraxOur new group tours encompass a great mix of landscapes; for fans of coastal based walking we’ve added picturesque walks overlooking the Undiscovered French Riviera, while those yearning for a journey away from the maddening crowd will enjoy walking to Europe’s most south western point on a guided walk through Portugal’s Algarve. Prefer something more exotic? Our exciting guided walk of the Azores Triangle takes in luxuriant tropical flora and offers superb walking in one of the world’s most beautiful and diverse archipelagos. For those seeking the little known and unique; the rugged mountains of Montenegro offer an off-the-beaten track exploration of the Balkans, while our Walks in Puglia and Basilicata take in the high heel of Italy’s “boot” famous for its Trulli houses (stone huts with conical roofs). As off the beaten track as Europe gets, undiscovered Central Portugal near the Douro river, is a region full of olive groves, vineyards and almond orchards where we explore the different levels of the Serra da Estrela – the highest range in mainland Portugal.

Prefer a self-guided walking tour? Our new six night gastronomic walk invites you to discover the essence of Burgundy; a place where centuries old culture and practices meet the modern world in a region famous for its tradition of wine and gastronomy (our hotel in Chambolle-Musigny is a C18 chateau belonging to a producer of fine, multi-award winning wines!).

Italian Alps1And what’s new on offer for self-guided cycling? With Spain as one of our most popular destinations, we’ve added 2 new cycling tours here; Andalucia is home of the Flamenco, where you’ll discover the ‘real’ Spain of bulls and horsemen, mixed in with some wonderfully scenery and rich flora and fuana; and, in northern Spain, we explore by bike the spectacular Jurassic coastline of the Costa Verde following part of the Camino de Santiago pilgrims trail before ending in Gijon. Also, new for 2015; soak up the natural beauty of northern Italy’s timeless mountain scenery as you ride from the Italian Alps to Lake Garda, discovering the historic cities of Mernao, Blozano and Trento along the way.

Can’t decide whether to walk or cycle? Our new multi-sport tour in the Dordogne offers canoeing, walking and cycling on one of France’s most celebrated rivers – great for families as well as educational, it’s like stepping back in time, exploring pre-historic cave dwellings, or wandering the cobblestone streets in medieval Sarlat, warmly lit at night by flickering gas lamps.
