Hiking on theisland from high rocky mountains to cloud forest and banana plantationsis an ideal way to see the real Gomera. Youwill be walking virtually round the island, having gone from a dry,rocky landscape through cultivated terraces and banana plantations, upto the rare laurisilva cloud forest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Ata latitude of just 28° north of the equator, the temperature varieslittle between winter and summer, ranging from a winter average of 19°to 25° in the summer, although higher up in winter it will be a lotcooler. The benign climate allows the cultivation of a wide variety ofexotic crops grown on ingeniously built terraces. It also means you canenjoy Gomera all year round.
