Barging
Welcome Aboard!
Breakaway Adventures introduces you to 28 years of researching, designing and creating a unique travel experience. Our barging holidays in France, Italy and England have become one of the most relaxing and enjoyable ways to see the beauty of rural Europe up close and at your own pace, while still remaing one of travel’s best kept secrets.
Relax..as you cruise along the tree lined canal, always at a leisurely pace. You may choose to unwind on deck with a good book and a glass of wine or listen to the strains of Vivaldi in the saloon of your floating hotel as a picture of quaint villages, majestic castles, rolling vineyards and pastoral farmlands unfolds around you. Our beautiful, comfortable hotel barges are specifically designed to show you the heart of Europe from the inside. The feeling of gentle exploration which characterize our voyages, the warm atmosphere evident on all our vessels and the excellent service provided by our loyal crew, combine to ensure a perfect inland cruise.
We are delighted to welcome back many travelers who, having enjoyed the level of service, cuisine and varied delights once before, return to enjoy and explore a cruise in the South of France, Scotland’s Great Glen or the river Thames with friends or family. We are especially please this year to offer a new barge cruise, La Dolce Vita along the calm waters of the Venetian lagoon. This unique luxury cruise takes in the well know attractions of Venice Italy and the beautiful canalized Brenta River.
If you decide you are looking for a relaxing European holiday with fine food, good wines, interesting excursions and a touch of pampering, then all that remains, is for you to choose which of our voyages appeals to you most!
