East Africa
The complex geology of East Africa is famous for the great Rift Valley that stretches from The Gulf Of Aquaba in the Red Sea to Mozambique, where there is a concentration of outstanding features in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda: Great blue soda lakes, volcanoes, mountains and great fertile plains have formed the basis of the famous national parks.
Today as population pressures make themselves felt on the wild spaces of Africa, it is reassuring to know that there are vast areas unaffected, especially in the highland regions. The famous East African peak, Kilimanjaro at 5891m in Tanzania, make fantastic target for strong walkers, a chance to reach the highest point on the continent. We can tailor a hiking or trekking tour in Tanzania for you on any date you wish. The clearest and warmest conditions are December to February. It is also clear and dry (but cooler) from July to September.
