Guided Walking Tours Tours in spain
Highlights of Andalucia
* Great art cities: Seville, Córdoba, Ubeda and Granada
* Gothic cathedrals, Moorish castles, mediaeval fortresses, abandoned córtijos
* Elegant and three-star and four-star hotels throughout
* Olive groves, cork oaks, pine forests, National Parks
* Experienced Headwater guide with air-conditioned minibus
This exceptional holiday combines discovering Andalucia’s “must see” sights, with going further afield to find hidden white-washed hamlets and flower filled country paths.
Seville’s streets of lively tapasbars are juxtaposed with the sleepy Renaissance towns of Úbeda and Baeza. The fabulous cathedrals and palaces of Córdoba provide a pleasing contrast to the verdant valleys of the Sierra del Norte. Granada’s Alhambra – one of the most famous buildings in the world – seems all the more stunning when seen alongside the near-forgotten Roman mosaics of Italica. Travelling with an experienced Headwater guide in an air conditioned minibus you’ll discover the “best bits” of Andalucia’s countryside and enjoy rambles through olive groves and poppy lined gorges.
Where we stay is special too. Always in historical centres, every hotel is a highlight. Our **** residences in Seville near Carmen’s bullring, and opposite the arched golden doorways of the Mezquita in Córdoba, are especially enticing. Dinner is included some nights, others you are free to choose from the wonderful array of restaurants each city has to offer. For lunch you can either sample mouth-watering tapas, or together we’ll arrange delicious picnics.
