Bays of Brittany Cycling
* Gentle, flat pedalling; quiet coastal & country lanes; short distances
* Magnificent long sandy beaches; superb picnic spots
* Exceptionally friendly hotels: full of character and contrasts
* Renaissance towns, pretty white villages, colorful fishing ports
* Lots of choice for families with children
Re-designed for 2009, this twin center cycling holiday is ideal for people wanting to combine gentle cycling with general exploring and sightseeing in one of France's best loved regions.
You start off in the charming fishing port of Audierne where you spend 4 nights as guests of M Auclert in his friendly seafront hotel. You can choose to follow our circular cycling routes (full maps and notes provided), explore independently, or simply spend time relaxing on one of the lovely white sand beaches. Audierne is famous too for its amazing seafood - in particular, lobster and crab served straight from the morning's catch - so memorable meals are guaranteed!
It's then off to Treboul for your final 3 nights. Your hotel here is crammed with modern art and paintings and affords the most spectacular views out across the bay. Highlights of your stay here will include the pretty town of Douarnenez (easy walking distance), picturesque Locranon and medieval capital, Quimper, the oldest Breton city and still the "charming little place" known to Flaubert.
