Austria and Czech Republic
Sandwiched between their great neighbours Germany and Russia, the Czechs and the Slovaks have learnt over many centuries how to adapt to changing circumstances.
Even the division of Czechoslovakia in 1993 into Slovakia and the Czech Republic was accomplished without a shot being fired (except in celebration). Almost untouched by the wars and revolutions of the 20th century, Prague, capital of Bohemia and of the Czech Republic, is regarded by many as Europe’s most beautiful capital, with an abundance of architectural monuments.
Our cycling tour from Vienna to Prague explores the delightful countryside of Bohemia, with its perfectly preserved mediaeval towns and its gracious spas formerly patronized by the European aristocracy
